When viewing a specific event’s registration list in the admin dashboard, it shows a subset of filter options above the table list correctly (like This Month (5) | Today (0) | Incomplete (0) | Trash(3)), but then if you click on one of them to see just that event’s Trashed registrations, for example, it goes to show ALL event registrations Trash results instead of just that single event’s.

I did try it on my end and everything seems fine. Can you check if there’s any error on your console logs?

can you also do some troubleshooting?
You can use https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ or any similar plugin.

You can do the above using Troubleshooting mode:

Tools -> Site Health -> Troubleshooting -> Enabled Troubleshooting mode.

That will disable all plugins and switch to a default theme and then allow you to enable specific plugins troubleshooting mode. Once disabled you will revert back to the current state.

Still happening with Troubleshooting mode on and only the default theme and EE plugins are active. The filter links are just missing the “&event_id=999” parameter. Adding that to the URL manually works and shows only that event’s filtered results.
