Registrations per day vs the reports view

When checking the status of my registrations I notice there is a discrepancy between the registration overview tab and the report tab, the nice little graph in the reports tab shows a different number of registrations by date than the main list. I believe this is due to a time zone setting as my report chart currently shows a registration for tomorrows date (it is 9pm as I write this)

Hello Lisa,

Yes. This is possible. Can you make sure your time zone is set to a city near you under Settings > General in your WordPress dashboard?

Yes the timezone on the site is correct and everything else has the correct time, only the reports page seems off.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback. It turns out that the Total Registrations per Day report prints the number of registrations per 24 hour period starting at UTC 0. That’s why you saw a new registration at 9:00 PM local counted for the next day. I can make a ticket and ask one of the developers to change this so that instead of using UTC 0 for the start of the day, it starts the day using the timezone offset for your local time.

Update:

The change to midnight from UTC 0 for the registrations per day report was included in Event Espresso 4.8.32.p, which was released today.
