Registrations Missing Registration Form Answers

Registrations are coming in empty of all questions.
Using latest version of WP and EE.

Hi there,

If you view the Receipt for one of those registrations, can you see the answers within that?

Is there a test event we can run a registration on? If so can you please post a link to the event here.

There is nothing in the receipt or invoice.

Currently the ticket has a minimum required capability which means we can not register without logging into the site, can you remove the minimum capability so we can view this please.

So if you view my registration does it show the details I have entered within that?

Yes I can see your info. The problem is it doesn’t happen every time.

The last blank entry that came in was on May 2, 2016 8:15 am
Before that it was May 1, 2016 7:11 pm

I can’t view your registrations but are you sure those are real registrations?

Event Espresso creates the registration (and transaction) as soon as you select tickets and then updates the details as the attendee goes through the steps. So if a user selects a ticket than closes the browser you will be left with a Incomplete registration and a Failed Transaction.

So are you viewing the incomplete registrations or have your users gone through to end end of the registrations steps and still had no data save?

We have both blank Pending Payment entries, and Approved Payment blank entries with no address etc.

Any caching plugins running on the site?

Does your host run any server side caching?

Do you have access to the servers error logs? If so take a look within those and see if there are any errors relating to Event Espresso around the time of those blank registrations above.

There’s nothing exceptional in the error log.
I did notice that while we had WP 4.5.1 about 3/4ths of the entries that came in were blank.
As soon as we reverted to 4.8 the info started to come in.

You used WP 4.5.1 with which version number of EE4?

Reverted to 4.8?
Version 4.8 of Event Espresso?
From which version?

Any caching plugins running on the site?

Does your host run any server side caching?

Latest version of EE on WP 4.5.1 = mostly blank entries.

Latest version of EE on WP 4.4.2 = entries with all info.

No chaching.

Hello,

I started reading through your support post and initially it sounded like you were having trouble with a current version of Event Espresso 4 and in your latest post you mentioned that you may be seeing this sporadic issue happen more often when you are on WP 4.5.1.

I can confirm that Event Espresso 4 including the latest version released today (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/) is compatible with WP 4.5.1.

However, I have seen some recent members experience registration issues due to their theme or another plugin being out of date which then shows JS errors on their site.

You also shared that you reverted your site but did you happen to see any errors on any of your pages prior to reverting?
