Registration page showing {espresso_events] short code instead of events.

I’m using WordPress 3.8.1, Event Espresso 3.1.36.4.P.
It is a new installation. The registration page is hoosierhillsbaptistcamp.org/registration

The registration page shows the shortcode text of [espresso_events], instead of the the events. Also, when I get the url shortcode of the actual event and paste it into the browser, it takes me to the registration page. Same is true when adding the individual event registration form shortcode to any page/post.

This is a new installation. So, I haven’t tweaked anything at all, except in general settings, I changed the main registration page from “event registration” to “registration.”

Sorry, that is not true when pasting the individual event shortcode onto a page/post. It is true with the [espresso_events] showing only as text in the registration page and the url shortcode taking it back to registration.

Hi Chris,

Along with that,

http://www.hoosierhillsbaptistcamp.org/event-registration/

is redirecting to:

http://www.hoosierhillsbaptistcamp.org/all-event-list/event-registration/

That may or may not be causing the issue, but it could be a clue to what’s going on. The other thing I’m seeing is it looks like there’s another event registration/calendar script running. Is that the theme that’s adding the calendar? If so, it may help narrow things down by checking to see if the theme is causing a conflict. You can do this without changing anything for the website visitor by installing the theme test drive plugin.

hello,
Yes, I see that it is redirecting. Yes, the calendar is built into the theme. I am new to all this. Is there going to be a permanent conflict?

Hi Chris,

Before I can answer your question about it being a permanent conflict, we need to find out whether the theme is causing the conflict or not. Can you please install the theme test drive plugin, set it to test one of the twenty* themes (like twentythirteen), and check the /register page?

I installed it, and I installed Twentythirteen. Checked registration page. Same results.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for checking that. Another thing you can try is changing the shortcode from: [espresso_events] to [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]
