The Last successful registration I had was under 4.8.20 (four days ago). Since upgrading to 4.8.27 three days ago, I had not tested the registration process. I upgraded to 4.8.28 yesterday, and added a few events.
Currently the system displays only the course description when I select the event from the calendar or click the register now button. In other words, the ticket selector, cart, etc… are not visible.

The registration / cart problem is only when registering from the calendar (V 3.2.6p). When selecting the course from the specific course list it is working.

Hi Patrick,

I don’t think it’s the calendar causing this, but the single event page. The calendar links directly to the single event page when the user clicks, the course list page you have is displaying the ticket selector within the page so can display the ticket selector.

So to confirm, this course list:

http://aegisacademy.com/community/aegis-academy-pistol-one-course-list/

Is a page using the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode, correct?

On the first event at the top, click the ‘Pistol One’ link – http://take.ms/Xa7NQ

Your now at the single event page for the ‘Pistol one’ event.

Can you edit that event and see if there is anything set within the excerpt? If not add something to that field (anything for now) and update the event, does the ticket selector then show?

Tony – Thanks for the quick response.

Yes – it is using [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”pistol-1″]

Yes again – Putting an “X” in the excerpt filed of Feb 13 Pistol One class did cause it to take me to the ticket selector.

I am not particularly savvy, but what does that tell us / what do I need to do fix it?

Thanks again!

It means the theme is doing something that EE isn’t expecting and is preventing the event details from loading.

We try to track when the correct call for the_content() is made for us to only add the event details to the correct section, however if a theme is using a function such as get_the_excerpt() and no excerpt has been set it runs the_content() to make a snippet for you you. This confuses EE as it thinks it should now not add the event details to the page (it thinks they have already been added).

We are working on a fix for this, currently to prevent that from happening your events need to have an excerpt included.

Is the theme you are using a custom theme?
