Since the upgrade to WP 5.5 the other day, no one can get past the first registration page to the payment page to complete registration.
I had to downgrade WP to 5.3.4 to restore functionality.

Hi there,
I’m running multiple EE test sites with WP5.5 with no issues so this is likely due to a plugin/theme conflict with the latest version which then shows during EE’s requests.
Do you have a development copy of the site which can be updated to 5.5 so we can view this?

The payment request is returning error 500 which most likely means there’s a fatal error happening on that request.
Can you check the servers error logs for any errors from Event Espresso around now and post them here, please?

That error means curl hasn’t been installed on your server, you’ll need to contact your host and have them install curl for the current version of PHP on your server.
Have you recently updated PHP?

yes they updated php about a week ago.
Ok, then that’s more likely to be causing your issues with EE than the WP5.5 update.
Once your host has installed curl let me know and I’ll run another test.
