Is this a registration you created yourself?

If so during the registration did you also have other active registrations within other tabs?

That registration is broken, has been completed, which is an odd situation to happen within EE.

If you open up this section – http://take.ms/JEHZS

Which steps are complete/finalized?

This is a test registration for fake name (Mango Harris)

Not sure what this question is asking: ”
If so during the registration did you also have other active registrations within other tabs?”

I did a cash add payment in the view transaction section.

Not sure what this question is asking: โ€

Were you testing multiple registrations at the same time.

As in adding this registration in one tab within your browser, whilst adding another within another tab?

Did you add this registration within the admin or front end of the site?

Hmmm…I definitely was making many registrations one after the other to test different situations. But I can’t remember if I was making them in numerous tabs.

I would guess that I was making the registrations through the admin.

Hello,

Registrations can be trashed and permanently deleted after any payments have been removed from the transaction details screen for the matching transaction.

Here are the steps:

Go to Event Espresso –> Transactions. Now click on a transaction (e.g. one from testing) and then go to the payments area. Click on the trash can icon and confirm.

Then go to the registration overview screen and place a checkmark and then use the bulk action dropdown to move to the trash. Then you can go to the trash and permanently delete.

Contacts via the contact list screen cannot currently be permanently deleted but they can be trashed.

Hey Lorenzo,

I know how to delete registrations and I have deleted all of them by first deleting the transaction but if you look at the screen shots (provided at top of this post) you will see there is no transaction to delete.

Hi Cindra,

I suspect when this registration was created there was another registration in progress within another tab/window in your browser which casues a session conflict and broke the registration. I’ve so far been unable to reproduce the issue you showing within the screenshots.

I’ll check in with our developers on this and see if they can provide any further feedback but for now you can set the registration status to ‘Cancelled’ so that the registration no longer applies to the event, just click the ‘Cancelled’ status within the registration – http://take.ms/Ztr7C

Ok. I did that. Does that somehow give me the ability to delete it though? Or is that what you will be talking to the developers about?

Setting the status means the registration no longer applies to the events sold values, it does not allow you to delete the registration/transaction.

If no payments are present within a transaction you should be able to delete the registration, however in your case you can’t because it appears the transaction is complete without any payments, that is what I’m looking into with the developers ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok. I understand. Thank you for the clarification.

Hi Cindra,

Could you send me temporary login details so I can take a deeper look into that registration please?

You can use this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Note I will need both a WP admin login and FTP details in this case.

Done.

Hmm, so I can’t reproduce the issue with the payment disappearing from within the transaction, but I believe I’ve found the cause.

It happens when you add multiple registrations from within the admin each time using the back button. Currently when you add a registration within the admin the session remains open, if you then click back you are basically overwriting sections of your first registration with the next registration.

So whats happened is the first registration has had a payment assigned to it, then the second registration has overwritten some details and the link between the registration/transaction has been broken.

I’ve created a ticket for our developers to investigate this.

I would recommend against using the back button when making registrations within the admin, instead open up a new tab for the registration. So when you get to this page – http://take.ms/uwUi1

Rather than just clicking on the ‘Add New Registration’ button and then using the back button, hold CTRL and Click on the button to open in a new tab (Command + Click on a MAC)

Then when finished and wanting to add another registration simply close that tab and repeat.

I’m assuming you want to completely remove the registration linked within this thread?

Ok. But this will not be an issue on the front end of my site? I just don’t want customers registering and then me not being able to see their transaction.

I would like to completely remove the registration within this thread.

It can happen if users are registering onto multiple events at once in different tabs, however the admin is given much more freedom than the front-end user, the ticket selector will display an error stating there is an issue with the registration and force the user to restart before they complete it so its much less likely.

Ok. And are you removing those broken registrations?

I went through and removed the 2 broken registrations for Mango and Alice.

The remaining 2 registrations have payments assigned to them and are working as expected. You’ll need to view the transaction and delete the payments before they can be delete.

For example for the registration 576 – http://take.ms/OdwQe

Click on the TXN Date and you’ll see the payments within the Transaction, you can click the trash icon within the transaction – http://take.ms/tsixv

Once all payments have been deleted you can trash that registration.

The same also applies to the other registration, remove the payments and that registration can be trashed.

Please let me know if you have any further problems.
