Registration Checkout Page does not acknowledge ticket selection

On http://cardunaldogtraining.com/ the registration checkout page has stopped working. If you try and register for an Agility Class and select a ticket (http://cardunaldogtraining.com/events/agility-classes/), when you hit “Register Now” it takes you to the Registration Checkout page but the page says:

Nothing in your Event Queue

You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.

Please help!

Thank you,
Elizabeth

Please try this ticket page as the trainer changed the Agility Class Page:

Thank you,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

Have you recently made any changes to the site such as installed new plugins? Enabled caching? Changed hosts etc?

Is it happening for all of your events currently?

I would also recommend checking with your host to see if they have recent made changes to the server. We generally expect ‘nothing in your event queue’ when the page is cached or the session is being broken. Can you also go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System information.

Search for save_path and make sure the value isn’t blank.

Hi,

We were having trouble related to archived event tickets. I found a solution written by Lorenzo to use Adminer to edit Tkt_Del from 1 to 0. This solved the archive issue but obviously created the new problem.

How can I fix it where we get the registration checkout page back and still not have the archived tickets?

Thank you,
Elizabeth

Tickets are archived to prevent data errors further down the stack, for example if ‘User A’ selects a ticket that is $10 and registers onto that ticket, their registration has a relationship to that ticket.

That’s why when you edit the ticket price, the original ticket is archived (to keep the relationship intact) and a duplicate created with the new price.

I don’t recommend the changes mentioned above, but I tested them locally and it didn’t cause the registration checkout page to break. Have there been any other changes?

Can you check with your host to see if they have enabled caching on the server recently?

Can you temporarily disable all non EE plugins and retest, does the registration then work as expected? I would recommend creating a site backup before testing this, just to be safe, at least a database backup, if not a full site backup.

The server has not recently enabled caching. They suggested I just get rid of EE. Good grief!

Before I test by disabling. Is there any way if I give you a login un & pw that you could look at the site & see if something is obvious to you?

Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth, we’ll need you to run through those testing steps. Those are the same steps that we would complete on our end as it is the fastest way to pinpoint the source of a conflict.

Also, who is your hosting provider?

Thanks

Lorenzo

Bluehost is the hosting provider.

I’ll run the test.

I started running the test. However, now the tickets don’t show up at all??? I have clicked on “View Event” and there is nothing there despite the tickets having been activated for sale?????

It was the WPTouch Mobile Plugin that caused the pages not to appear. Now what?

Thanks,
Elizabeth

If you have a responsive WordPress theme, do you need the WPTouch Mobile plugin?

Not necessarily, but it makes it customizable which we like.

It may help to contact WP Touch plugin support to see if they have a setting you can disable that will allow the pages to appear.
