Refresh on checkout errors

I think we have found a bug during the checkout process.

How to reproduce:
1. Start event payment method twice (especially going back to the originally selected one)

What happens:
1. An error is shown: “There appears to be a problem with the payment method configuration! Please refresh the page and try again or contact support.”
2. The order of payment methods has changed such that the selected option comes first.
3. Also I think the additional info that is shown is not correct immediately after the error message is shown.

What I was expecting:
1. No error.
2. Order of payment methods shouldn’t change.

I think the first is related to the second.

Hi there,

It sounds like you are selecting a payment method before EE’s JS files have been loaded ono the page, which will cause the above error.

Can you link me to an event I can use to test this?

What I was expecting:
1. No error.
2. Order of payment methods shouldn’t change.

The currently select payment method will be the first to load if you refresh the payment page after selecting one, that’s expected behavior and not a bug from the first issue.

I’m not getting the first error you mentioned when selecting a payment method, is there a specific set of steps I need to take?

Are you clicking to and from various payment methods very quickly?
