Hi guys Trish (for WWA) |
|
Why are all the recurring events showing on the event post page? |
|
Hi, Please make sure You have both the Custom Template Display and Recurring Dropdown plugins installed and activated. Once done, add the following shortcode to any post or page: [EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”recurring-dropdown”] This will then display a table of events. Any recurring events will be compiled to a single entry with a drop down for dates. The documentation is found here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/custom-template-add-on/#recurring |

ok thanks I did that. The other problem I’m having is the widget in the side bar of the home page – it’s only showing events from one series (Nepean), shouldn’t it be chronological? shouldn’t it show the events coming up in date order? |
Hi, the recurring events dropdown template is another way to display your events in Event Espresso. It does not replace the content on the event listing page or the single event pages. The widget on the home page appears to already be in chronological order. Is it set to show all categories of events? — |

Thanks Lorenzo, I have deactivated these plugins as it just doesn’t work like I expected. I wish I knew that before I bought the add on. about the widget – yes it is displaying correctly now – it started working right once I deactivated the plugins – so clearly the plugins are conflicting with the widget. We are now investigating a customised event solution – getting tired of all the issues with EE. Trish |
