Recurring Event Manager not operational

I have version 3.1.37.1.P of Event Espresso, and the plug-in for the Recurring Event Manager is installed and activated. However, when I enter a new event, there is no prompt asking if it is a recurring event. Instead, I see the button stating that Recurring Event Manager is now available, as if I had not installed it. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

What version of Recurring Event Registration are you using?

My plugin page says: Event Espresso Template – Recurring Events Table w/ Dropdowns, version 1.1.p

Hi Suzy, that is a template that handles the display of the recurring events using a specific shortcode:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/recurring-events-dropdown-template-add-on/

Think of it as another way to present your events for your attendees/registrants to register.

Could you also install and activate the Recurring Events Manager Add-on v1.1.8?

Thanks! That was helpful! It is now installed and when I activated it, I received error messages (below). Also, when I click on “add event,” the subsequent page does not seem to display correctly – begins with Event Overview, then the registration details – no place to enter the details regarding the title or content of the event.

Hi Suzy, could you disable WordPress debugging on your site by adding this macro to your wp-config.php file?

Hi Suzy,

How did you install the Recurring Events Manager? (REM for short)

Your error shows:

/wp-content/plugins/espresso-recurring-events.php_/functions/re_view_functions.php

The odd part is ‘espresso-recurring-events.php_’ as it should not be a .php file there. It should be a directory, like this:

/wp-content/plugins/espresso-recurring-events/functions/re_view_functions.php

Which is why the files can not open.

Did you install REM via FTP or using the Plugins manager through your dashboard?
