Hi Lane,

Is your account with First Data set up to use the FirstData E4/Payeezy gateway, or the legacy First Data Linkpoint API?

Hi there Lane, I have a testing account for FirstData that I’d like to test out to ensure that your site can communicate with the payment servers.

Could you please follow up with us here?

Hi Lane,

That’s great, so there are two First Data options on the Event Espresso > Payment settings page. One is labeled First Data Settings, this is the legacy/Linkpoint API gateway. The other is First Data E4 Settings. It appears that you have the legacy First Data gateway active, so you’ll first deactivate that one. Then you’ll activate the FirstData E4 gateway.

Once activated, you add your payment page ID and transaction key from your First Data E4 account. Then you’ll input the relay response URL that you can copy from the yellow box on the Payment page settings under where it says Authorize.net protocol settings.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.

Hi Lane,

I’m wondering if the other plugin that powers the pay now button might be causing a conflict. The other possibility is you can check with First Data to see if they have more details about the technical difficulty message from their end.

Josh,

there is no conflict with that plugin as i have checked to deactivated and there is no other support from First Data except https://support.payeezy.com/. please help me to fix this issue as i only purchase the EE because its support the first data payments.

Hi Lane,

I’m sorry for the trouble. When you set up your payment page in the First Data E4 account, did you start with a new payment page, or did you try to re-use the existing payment page that you already use for the donation page? If the latter, can you set up a new payment page in the First Data account?

You can set up a new payment page by logging into your First Data E4 account, then click Payment Pages, then click Create a new payment page. Once your new payment page is set up, you’ll need to set the transaction ID and payment page ID in the Event Espresso Payment Settings.

Josh,

i am using the new payment page in the First Data E4 account for EE3. Donation page is separate page and that is only using for donation page.
