Hey Guys,
Love your product. My client, thanks to your product, is now ready to take his business to the next level. He runs a gym class and he was originally using EE to have clients reserve a space in his class. Now he want to start taking payments online through his PayPal Account. Is there a way that a user can easily purchase blocks of 8 or 16 tickets through EE then go in later and reserve the classes they want to take? I’m assuming the user would have to create an account or have some sort of have a unique ID code created for them (I prefer the later option). If the only option is that the user needs to select the classes first then I guess I need the Multiple Event Booking. If this is the case can the user cancel a class and reschedule without penalty to their purchase?
My client also has started Groupon and I’m going to integrate that add-on soon.

Hi,
The short answer is as you described with the Multiple Event Registration addon (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-multiple/), but they still will not be able to cancel and reschedule automatically. Event Espresso doesn’t have a “credit” system yet.
The other option is to sell a ticket that allows them to attend for a certain date of events (without registering for those events individually). Not a huge fan of that function.
In Event Espresso 4 (no official release date, but hopefully soon) you will be able to create a block of tickets and limit the number of times a ticket can be used (https://eventespresso.com/2013/09/event-espresso-4-feature-showcase-ticket-quantity-uses-min-and-max/). In addition you can allow a ticket to be used for a variety of dates, but the max uses will only let them enter the number of times allowed. That will allow you to sell blocks of tickets and let people attend either in a sequence or at their convenience, but you will have challenges limiting how many people attend at one time. That’s why we probably need to build an add-on to allow people to RSVP for events where they might be allowed but it requires that they check to see if there is space.
Allowing people to choose their attendance at a later date is kind of a redundant step where they should have chosen those dates in advance like they have eventually anyway. This requires more technology and expense, but I can see how it is good customer service, so there is a tradeoff.
