Hi, I setup a promotion for my Specialty Workshops. I apply the discount code precede to payment but it does not take the 20% off.

I tried again this morning When I put my code into the event and precede to payment the discount does not calculate? I have a screen shot of my promotion if you need it.

I deleted the promotion I was having trouble with and made a new one. Not sure why but this code is working while the first one was not. I’ll take it.

On the discount code not originally working — were you testing with two browser tabs open at once with one for the WP dashboard and the other for the registration checkout?
If so, there is an exclusive option that appears about midway in the promotions editor. If you previously used a promotion that had that exclusive option enabled while testing, then no other discount codes would be allowed.
There is a registration cancelled page that you can browse to which will clear out the current registration details:
example.com/registration-cancelled/
Switch in your actual URL to replace example.com and then browse to that page.
