I’m trying to set up a series of one-day daily promotions for advent. I’m having a couple of issues:
1. One expired event seems to always be selected for the promotion, and occasionally another one too. Though I cannot seem to be able to find and unselect these events.

2. I cannot get the promotion to end on the same day it started. I want them to run daily from 8am to 11:55pm. But I seem to have to select the next day and the earliest that will end is 8am.

Hi there,

1. One expired event seems to always be selected for the promotion, and occasionally another one too. Though I cannot seem to be able to find and unselect these events.

That’s actually a feature that protects the Transaction data. So what happens is when a promotion is applied to a transaction, the event that was registered for can no longer be removed from that promotion. If it were allowed to be removed, then the promotion would no longer be with the transaction where they used that promotion earlier.

2. I cannot get the promotion to end on the same day it started. I want them to run daily from 8am to 11:55pm. But I seem to have to select the next day and the earliest that will end is 8am.

This sounds like it may be the result of a theme or plugin conflict where there’s some additional calendar date validation being added to the Promotion form by another script. Does it allow you to enter a promotion that starts and ends on the same date if all other plugins are disabled and a default WordPress theme is activated?
