I am trying to add a promotion code to an existing event and I am testing in my staging site but it is not working. I have checked that the Allow discounts in the shopping cart? setting is Yes and that the event allows the NEWCLUB15 Promo code. Here are my particulars: Wordpress version: 4.1.1 |
Hi David, Can you explain what you mean by not working? For example, does the promo code field not display? Or, does it discount the incorrect amount? |

Promotion code field is preset but when the person is taken to the confirmation page the full price is still showing. |
Hi David, could you temporarily disable the login to register for an event feature so we can try out a test registration? — |

I have removed the fact that the event is a members only event for testing. THe event link is: d37.staging.wpengine.com/event-registration/?ee=226 |

PS Promo code is NEWCLUB15 and should remove 15 dollars off the registration fee. |
Hi David, It looks like the base registration fee before any price modifiers are applied is set to be 0.00. The promo codes only get applied to the base registration fee. They do not get applied to the price modifiers. Instead of basing all the registration fees on price modifiers, you could start with a base registration fee then add fees for meals + extra sessions. |

Thanks Josh – We have had a method of using modifier prices as it seemed easier for our conference events. With already having 170 register folks I cannot make that drastic of a change but I have a new idea to try and accommodate my needs. David |
