Hello, I created my first event and tested it out by selecting tickets and filling out the personal information attendee fields. When clicking the button “Proceed to payment options”, the page just seems to refresh and does not advance further. Please help, I need this working asap. Thanks.

Hello,
If it just refreshes rather than moving forward, then there may be a conflict with another plugin on the site.
Could you temporarily deactivate all other plugins except for Event Espresso and then re-test? If the issue goes away, then reactivate a couple plugins at a time and then re-test registration again.
That will help you pinpoint the source of the conflict.
Also, I see that pretty permalinks are not currently enabled. You can turn those on through WP-admin (WordPress dashboard) –> Settings –> Permalinks and then select postname and save.
That will change your event URLs to use pretty links and here are some examples:
http://mustangsheard.com/?espresso_events=performance-horse-handling-by-janiece-wilson –> http://mustangsheard.com/events/performance-horse-handling-by-janiece-wilson
http://mustangsheard.com/?page_id=1179 –> http://mustangsheard.com/about/

Thank you Lorenzo! I do not know which plugin that was causing the issues as for I have deactivated them all per instructions and then reactivated each one individually. The “Proceed to Payment” button now takes me to a payment options page where I can pay with paypal.
In the past I have had issues using pretty links. So I choose to have “ugly” links. lol Thanks!

What issues did you have with pretty permalinks?
Also, is the payment issue resolved?
