Greetings all,

Using the Stripe payment gateway appears to work occasionally, but not always. We appear to be losing major business due to this.

Have challenged Stripe settings on several occasions and all is good from their point of view.

Of note, EE displays the payment is complete to the customer, but will not send the tickets. When the transaction is looked up in both EE and Stripe; EE shows the payment as incomplete and Stripe shows no record of the transaction.

EE Version 3.1.28.P
EE Ticketing 2.0.8

Hi AJ,

This might be a case where the default payment status is set to Completed either globally or for specific events. The completed default option has since been removed, leaving incomplete and pending for the two default options. The payment gateway response will then set it to complete once a valid transaction goes through.

As an aside, Event Espresso version 3.1.28 is out of date and should be updated as soon as possible to ensure that this isn’t an older bug that is causing this.

I’ve tried to upgrade but get the following error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /var/www/vhosts/universityofutahhockey.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-28/espresso.php:34) in /var/www/vhosts/universityofutahhockey.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso_3-1-31-alpha/espresso.php on line 36

The error indicates that an old version of Event Espresso is still installed and activated. Please see this guide for updating instructions:

I thought with paid support all upgrades where available with one click?

This is the case where avaialable, with the exception being when there is a non-official release installed. In this case the .31 alpha version had been installed earlier on. In order to receive one-click updates it needs to have a release installed from the official release channel. So there is one additional step in that you will need to deactivate the older version before updating to the new version.
