HI guys.

I am trying to add NAB (Australian Bank) to my payment gateway options.

I have been issued with an?NAB merchant ID and Password.

When I attempt to put a transaction through i get diverted to
https://transact.nab.com.au/live/directpost/authorise

with the error code ” Invalid fingerprint ” in the top left hand of the screen.

I called NAB direct post, they have done full testing at their end and can find no errors and there system appears to work work fine with the credentials they have provided me.

I double/ triple checked the login creditials and they assure me its correct. I get the same message with both the live and the test password.

upgrading to 3.1.364P did not fix the issue.

do you have any idea what to try next to trouble shoot this issue

my website is http://www.amsn.com.au
NAB can be reached on 1300 138 313.

I have de-activated the transact direct as we are currently taking enrollments and I dont wish to confuse people. Paypal is working fine but some of my clients find there credit card payment option a bit hard to see.

hope you guys can help

cheers
Brent

Hi Brent,

Please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

If you can provide the TEST credentials for NAB that would be great.

Hi Brent,

I notice that you do not have a valid SSL certificate on the site. The gateway does require one, so this could well be the problem.

cheers dean.

Are you able to check the credentials on your testbed to be sure ?

We are live taking enrollments at the moment so under a bit of a time pressure

Any idea how I get a valid SSL certificate ?

kind regards,
Brent
hope you can try those credentials

Hi Brent,

I haven’t been able to test it out on an SSL secured site yet, I’m currently trying to get one set up.

I did try it on a non SSL site and I got a blank screen and in a different test I got the same error as you.

Most hosts or even domain name suppliers sell SSL certificates.

Hi,

I’m going to raise this to a developer ticket to look into with a proper SSL certified site as my attempt (via Hostgator) is currently yielding a blank page still.

Hi Brent,

I did try your test credentials and they did not work for me either. The test credentials that I have from NAB for their demo account work fine though.

As an aside, It shouldn’t matter whether you have a secured checkout page in test mode, but it is best to get an SSL cert from your host (or from a third party SSL cert provider) because of the way that NAB gateway loads the final results page (The thank you page).

What you’ll find is the Thank you page is actually displayed from a secure NAB URL (with the contents of this page being retrieved from your server via a background request). If you don’t have an SSL cert for your domain, the page will end up being unstyled in most browsers. You can see an example of the thank you page without SSL if you test out a transaction on my test site here:

http://eetesting.info/3.1.josh/event-registration/?ee=2708

(you can use 4444333322221111 for the credit card test, any future exp. date, and any 3 digit for the ccv) When you hit the payment form, you’ll also see the demo test creds in a debug table, which you’re welcome to try out on your site. If those work in test mode on your site, it may help to let NAB know that so they can look into this further.

Along with that, it’s best to secure any page where people fill out a credit card form. I think if you check with NAB on this they’ll recommend installing an SSL certificate for your domain and taking the proper steps to secure your registration checkout and thank you pages.

HI josh and Dean.

I have followed your steps.

I have obtained a ssl certificate. installed on my website on the domain

https://amsn.com.au

my backend hosting confirms its active for my website.

i have followed your instructions and with the ssl plugin and set ticked the ssl boxes on the following pages
seminars
thank you
registration cancelled.

im still getting the same error message using the test creditions.

im really at the end of my expterise here. if one of you guys can have a quick look around the back end of my website i would be very grateful as we are taking active enrollments right now.

I hope you can find something i have missed

cheers

ps i have disabled the transact direct for now as we are taking active enrollements. if you need to activate for testing please do so but turn of if you cant find answers as the site is taking active enrollments.

@brent,

Did you try the other NAB test credentials? I think the ones you’re trying do not work. I mentioned that we did try your credentials on another test site and they do not work. The NAB test credentials from NAB’s demo account do work. This is where you log in to NAB’s demo account:

https://transact.nab.com.au/demo

Thanks Josh,

I just read your email. Im flat out at work now but I will try the other credentials in a few hours time. So your confident there are now errors at my end as far as the event esspresso install goes ? if so I will call up the bank tonight and press them further. they assured me the credentials are good but they also assured me there fees are reasonable and they would have this transact account setup with a few weeks early jan.

thanks again for your assistance i will be in touch later this arvo
