Problem activating second invoice payment type

We are using ‘Invoice’ as a payment type in Event Espresso. We need a special invoice for one of our events, but when I go to ‘Payment Methods’ and try to activate another invoice, which is listed as ‘Invoice 2’, the system goes to a blank page. When I then click back on payment methods, ‘Invoice 2’ is still listed, but not activated. I can’t figure out how to activate this second invoice method and it looks like an error.

Also, for some reason then I make tickets available at a certain time, the system seems to be using a different time zone than mine. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?

Hi,

May I ask do you have the current version of the Payment Methods Pro add-on? That’s the add-on that adds the feature where you can make additional invoice payment types. The current release is version 1.0.1.p

With regards to the timezone, the only setting that’s used there is the Timezone setting in WordPress > Settings > General. If the timezone set there matches a city in your timezone, then what’s likely happening is there’s a plugin or theme function that’s overriding the timezone offset (WordPress starts with UTC 0, then applies the offset from your timezone settings). Event Espresso, just like WordPress, expects the timezone to be UTC 0, then applies that offset. So the way forward will be to troubleshoot to find out which plugin might be overriding that timezone/offset. Here’s a link to our troubleshooting guide:

Josh, Thanks for the help. So we are using the basic payment methods in Event Espresso. That gave me an option to ‘activate another invoice payment method’, but what you are saying is that it really isn’t available without the Payment Methods Pro add-in. Do I have that right?

If so, we will just have to figure out how to make the basic system work work for us.

Yes there will only be an option to activate another invoice payment method if the Payment Methods Pro add-on is activated.

It looks like your site has version “1.0.0.dev.003”. If you update to the current version (1.0.1) you’ll be able to make use of that second invoice payment type.
