If someone buys 5 tickets, are they printing out 5 tickets or is there a field somewhere in the ticket template that I can put in that lets me know how many tickets were purchased?

Hi Mercer,

The link that the registrant/attendee clicks on will provide access to all ticket options that are available.

For example, if you have event ABC and two of ticket A are purchased, then they would receive one ticket that could be scanned twice.

If you allowed multiple event registrations through the multiple event registrations add-on and a registrant registered for ticket A from event ABC and ticket B from event XYZ, then they would receive two tickets and each ticket could be scanned one.

Lorenzo,

We don’t have the ability to scan tickets. Can we instruct registrants to print out each ticket separately or can we have a number on the ticket that states how many tickets were purchased?

Hello, they will work as I described in my prior reply and I think that you want a number to show for the number of tickets that were bought.

Add additional reminders about printing tickets

You could add some additional help messaging to remind them to print out the tickets in the ticket notice message type that includes the link to the ticket. It can be found in Event Espresso –> Messages –> Ticket Notice. Then click on Primary Registrant. You’ll then be viewing the messages editor with the ticket notice message loaded.

The link says print your tickets and you can add additional messaging in bold to remind them to print them. Be sure to save changes.

Add a shortcode for ticket quantity purchased

The ticket message type can be found in Event Espresso –> Messages –> Ticket. Then click on Registrant.

You’ll now be viewing the messages editor for the Ticket message type.

There is a shortcode available that can be used to show the ticket quantity that was purchased.

It could be added to the main content area. Here is a screenshot:

Here is the information that I added prior to taking the screenshot:

# of tickets: [TKT_QTY_PURCHASED]
