I thought I could “schedule” price adjustments in EE3. Ex. Price increases on the the first of every month. How do I do this or do I need a plugin?

Hi Tammy, you can schedule early-bird pricing through the event editor (bottom right side of page):

Hi Lorenzo! How do you adjust it and expire it based on a date/time for several adjustments to one ticket…not event? I thought there was a feature to do that. Is that only in EE4?

Hi Tammy,

In EE3 there is only one “early bird” pricing per event. So it cannot have multiple grades, nor be ticket dependant.

EE4 does make it easier as although there is no early bird system, the ticketing structure allows you to create several tickets that become available/expire at different times, e.g.:

ticket A.1 goes on sale 01/01/15 and ends at 15/01/15 and costs $100
ticket A.2 goes on sale 16/01/15 and ends at 31/01/15 and costs $80
ticket A.3 goes on sale 01/02/15 and ends at 15/02/15 and costs $60

Each ticket is effectively the same, as they draw from the same datetime/capacity, but they differ in price and sale times. This makes graded early bird systems very easy in EE4.

Thanks Dean. It looks like I chose the wrong version. I downloaded EE4 but that causes another issue but I’ll do a separate post since it’s a different topic and this one can be marked RESOLVED. Thanks again!
