Prevent Revenue from Abandoned Registrations to show in Amount Due

We are seeing that revenue from an abandoned registration is showing as current revenue due to us (in the “Transaction Amount Due” column/section). Obviously it isn’t due to us. How do we delete/remove that information from being included as due in an event?

Hi there,

Apologies but I’m not sure I understand, can you add a screenshot that shows what you are seeing, please?

That’s showing the price of the registration so it’s not going to change when a user doesn’t pay and abandons the checkout as the price hasn’t changed, right?

Correct, it’s showing the amount they would have owed had the completed the registration. However, they did not complete it and the revenue is sitting in the event as though they completed the registration both in the backend and on the download report.

Correct, it’s showing the amount they would have owed had the completed the registration.

Well, no. It’s showing the amount due on the registration, the fact the user did not complete the registration doesn’t change the price of the registration. For example, you can trigger a payment reminder email for that transaction and the user can click on the link within that email to complete the purchase. If the amount owing was 0.00 that means the registration is now free.

The ‘status’ of a registration/transaction does not alter the amount owing on said transaction.

However, they did not complete it and the revenue is sitting in the event as though they completed the registration both in the backend and on the download report.

It’s not sitting as though they have paid/completed the registration.

The registration itself is ‘pending payment’.
The transaction status is Abandoned (it could also show Incomplete).
The price, remains the same as that is what the user needs to pay to complete the transaction.
The amount paid is 0.00 because they didn’t pay anything.

Complete registrations would show as ‘Approved’ and their status would be either Complete (if paid) or Incomplete (if you manually approved the registration or have a Default Registration Status of Approved and your awaiting payment).

Dynamically switching out transactions to show as nothing owing because the user didn’t actually complete the transaction, or pay in full at the time is going to cause much more confusion for our users here. Incomplete/Abanonded transactions are not ‘free’, so EE will not show them as such.
