Presales Question – EE3 or EE4

Having looked at both demo’s I think what I want can be achieved with EE4 but I wanted to check before buying to be sure it meets all the requirements.

Currently our site uses ibooking to allow our customers to book in on walking tours of the city (www.cityofthedeadtours.com). We would prefer to change this to a self hosted system such as Event Espresso.

We need the system to allow us to book recurring events. Each tour will run 2 or 3 times a day every day, with the possibility to extend to an extra tour or so on weekends. Customers will be able to purchase a range of ticket prices (Adult, Children or OAP/Student) all paid for via paypal. As customers may also book offline we need to be able to ensure we can easily adjust the tour capacity to reflect these bookings in the system to ensure no over booking of a tour happens.

Ideally we would want to be able to create a similar UI to the current where a customer picks tour type then selects date and time slot of the tour. From there they can enter their details and book required number of tickets before preceding to payment gateway. Confirmation of the tour would be sent via email to the customer.

On the backend of the system we would need to be able to produce a printed list of attendees for each of our guides prior to a tour starting. We would also like to be able to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports of tour attendance and income generated.

The system will be taking up to 2000 bookings online across all tours each month.

Could you please confirm which of your products you believe would besot suited to this task. With the multiple registration addon I think I can achieve this using EE4 but would like to know for sure before purchasing.

Thanks for your assistance.

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.

If you are looking to create the events once, then allow them to auto-create the next event in the sequence, then that functionality isn’t currently available for EE4. This is only available with the EE3 Recurring Events Manager. We are planning to release this for EE4, but I do not have any information on the estimated time of completion.
