Thanks for the possibility to check out the test site. I’m very interested in Event Espresso, but must ask the following information before purchase, to make sure I can provide everything that my client has requested.

The website is for yoga classes, and is in Italian:

1 – I’ve noticed that the Italian Language files are only 32% complete. Is it possible to see a demo? Is the frontend translation complete? (Backend is less important as I speak perfect english)

2 – MULTIPLE CLASS BOOKING: My client likes to sell classes in blocks of 10 (this way the customer also gets a discount).
Is a credit system possible? e.g. customer buys 10 lessons, then books the lessons when she wants, e.g. 1 lesson at a time, then when their credits are finished (10 lessons booked) they can’t book any more, as they have run out of credits.

ANOTHER WAY TO HANDLE THIS COULD BE:
Promotion codes with maximum use number:
3 – Is it possible to have a promotion code with max number of uses, e.g. a promotion code that can be used a maximum of 10 times only? That way when a customer buys a block of 10 classes, we can assign a promotion code max uses 10.

4 – CAN USER/MEMBER CANCEL/CHANGE BOOKINGS: Once booked a lesson (e.g. class availability: 8 people), in case of illness etc., is it possible for the user to cancel their booking without loosing their money (say 24 hours before the lesson) & then book another date? In doing so, the availability of the class returns to +1, so someone else can book for the class.

Regarding the above question I’ve seen the following enquiries on the support forum, but am unable to see the answers as I haven’t made a purchase yet.

Purchase Multiple Classes with Reservation / Cancelation
…. He runs a gym … he want to start taking payments online through his PayPal Account. Is there a way that a user can easily purchase blocks of 8 or 16 tickets through EE then go in later and reserve the classes they want to take? I’m assuming the user would have to create an account or have some sort of have a unique ID code created for them (I prefer the later option). If the only option is that the user needs to select the classes first then I guess I need the Multiple Event Booking. If this is the case can the user cancel a class and reschedule without penalty to their purchase?

and also this:

Changing class – Not offered as such. If the user was logged in at the time of registration, they can cancel the registration and re-register for a new class. We do have a beta add on that can move attendees between events, so an admin could easily do that for the registrant.

——————————————
I can’t test this as Member registration is closed for the test site.
How does this work? If I create courses/events that are Member only events, people have to login to book, do users then have an account area where they can go and see the classes they have booked with the possibility to cancel. Or is it only possible for an admin user make cancellations? My client specifically wants the possibility for customers to manage their own bookings.

I hope it’s all clear & Thanks in advance for any info.
Ellen

Hi Ellen,

How are you today?

1) There isn’t really a way to demo the language files. Fill out the translator form and we can get you access to the strings that are done or incomplete: https://eventespresso.com/features/languages/#form

2) All registrations ask for payment with each registration, no credit system.

3) EE3 doest have discount codes but they do not have restrictions on how many times they can be used at this time. We are going to build this type of control into EE4 later this year.

4-5) Rebooking is a manual process because of all the complexities that go into it (seating limits for the current event, refund process, or credit system as mentioned above, etc.). With the Multiple Event Registration addon (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-multiple/) and when they are logged-in they do have a “My Events” page where they can see their registration history but canceling is not allowed at this time as mentioned above.
