Hello I’m going to build an online language teaching website where there’s a feature of tutor session booking for User to book by time-slot using Mycred point as ticket ( as I originally knew about Events Espresso through Mycred ). I would like to ask that with Event Espresso can I create event calendar for every teacher where User will search > choose > book offered time-slot of chosen teacher ? About notification for event owner ( teacher ), within the notification feature of the plugin can I build a booked-session notification which let Teacher take a look at student current learning stage as well as progression so later the teacher can have idea on how to prepare for the tutor lesson? ( please note that student randomly choose teacher to practice with so teachers are unaware of student learning status before and after booking without an informative notification) I’m using Learndash as a LMS for pre-stage lesson + quiz. Warm regards. |
Hi Samuel, Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso. The best way to set up the calendar like that is to set a category for each teacher and paste the calendar shortcode on specific pages using this shortcode: We don’t have that profile functionality to show the teachers that specific information. They will need to view that in LearnDash. |

Thanks for your informative response. Best regards, |

Anything else we can help with? |

Hi Dean, Yes there ares issues that I hope to have your point of view. 1/ The user or membership feature which to me is kind of confusing as I’m going to have Learndash LMS for my e-learning website using Paid membership Pro for paid content assessmentbut since I know that Event Espresso do have WP User Integration add-on serving same function so in the end such feature will be deployed by your side or vice versa? 2/ I notice that there’s the event grid add-on so can I have events to display in grid per daily view within category or they just display in an order of “upcoming events” ? Warm regards, Long, Nguyen |

Hi, 1) The WP User Integration addon isn’t designed to replace a membership or CMS plugin. While it can create users on registration, its primary uses are to block or limit event access based on role and autofill some basic data. WP User Integration cannot, for example, manage users roles (e.g. promote or downgrade a user account) or charge money for becoming a site member. Basically, it helps to blur the line between EE and WordPress/Third Party user management systems. 2) They display in upcoming events. Let me know if you think of any other questions or need further clarification. |

Hi Dean,
This exactly is what i’m confusing about, since I will use Learndash for course-based teaching so I must have 3rd party plugin to secure my content which is Paid membership Pro and I will need E.E for event/session booking so the question is can I use P.M.P on E.E 4 also or I have to use separated access-managing system for Learndash and EventEspresso ? I also noticed that there’s feature of Restrict Access where third party plugin can take part in so please guide me with this as I need only 1 type of user account to particiate in Learndash courses and then booking the tutoring sessions via E.E 4.
Regarding your response, could it be taken that if the events are displayed in upcoming order then if I purchased E.E 4 + add-on “Event Grid” so I can have teachers as fixed + permanent events where I would deploy features as ” Multi-datetimes” to offer available days per teacher and “Multi-ticket options” to offer tickets described as time-slots within a day. Then student just have to search among offering events ( teachers ) > choose suitable weekday (date-time option) > choose suitable ticket by time-slot description ( multi-ticket option). Please take a look and if it’s possible to do please confirm. Here above are remaining of my concerns before purchasing the plugin + add-on that I would be grateful to have your help. Regards, |
Hi, we do not currently integrate with Paid Content Memberships at this time. Could you link to the support post or page where you saw that the restrict access feature was available? The newest events are displayed first with older events available via pagination. Here is an idea on handling the registration flow. First, hide the main events listing page and then create events for each teacher. Then assign these to a specific events category. Then you could create a WordPress page for each teacher and use the following shortcode: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”location-ABC-events”] The last step would be to create a new WordPress page that has each teacher. Then each link on this page will go to one of the event category pages that you have created above. It would then look like this: Attendee arrives on homepage –> Browses to page that shows the teacher –> Clicks on their preferred teacher and then begins registration for one of the courses — |

Hello Lorenzo,
I originally had the idea to use P.M.P for both Learndash and E.E from here: https://eventespresso.com/features/restrict-access-roles-capabilities-permissions/
This is why i came up with idea to have 1 restrict access plugin to be shared between Learndash and E.E. So now as result it seems like I can’t have such solution to link Learndash with Event Espresso so I might have to change my current plan. Regards, |
Alright, that comment is regarding managing access to certain areas of Event Espresso. For example, you could provide a limited login to a team member to manage certain areas of Event Espresso within the WP dashboard instead of having access to the full WP dashboard. — |
