Phone APP (Android) not connecting to server

Am using the latest edition of EE, the phone APP did originally work but I now get “sorry you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions: ee_read_events, + others
Seems to be an attribute change with recent EE updates that blocks the EE Phone APP from working – I am using the administrator user/ password on the phone APP
Hope you can help!

Hi,

There hasn’t been an attribute change in recent Event Espresso updates that would block the EE phone app from working. At least, not anything we’ve seen with testing or on other sites.

Has the site’s .htaccess file been changed, or security plugins added, or changes to the site’s permalinks setting been made recently?

Hello Josh

Security plugins and the .htaccess file might have been changes with subsequent WordPress Updates – I couldn’t be sure, but I haven’t changed either manually. Can you please confirm what the settings should be

I can’t confirm settings because I don’t know much about your site. I can point you to the troubleshooting guide:

From the guide, one setting that might be applicable is from the Shield Security plugin. If you have that plugin, you can disable the plugin’s Hack Guard Module to allow the app to communicate with your website.
