PROBLEM LIST:
1. Individuals can’t register on the site.
2. It told me I need to get a new registration key, which I requested, and paid for, even though I should not have had to. I did this because our event is upcoming and people are really starting to register now! HELP!
2. There is an EE update sitting there in my plug-ins, and I can’t update the plugin for WordPress.

HELP me please!

Hi Marsha,

1) I registered for the event (i didnt pay though) and it went through just fine. As such can you provide more information as to why they cannot register? What browser/device are they using? What happens – is there an error for example? Where exactly does the registration process break down. Without further information it makes it very hard to pinpoint any issues.

2) I have reset your licence key. Please go to General Settings and cut out the licence key and save the settings with no key. Then add it back and re-save. That should kick in the one click updates. If it doesnt or if it occurs in the future, please advise.

Thanks Dean, yesterday afternoon I went through, deactivated a plugin ContactUs that was requesting a new API key. It still wants a new API key. I dont know if it’s related, it seems like it is. Once I deactivated the plugin, I was able to reset my EE and it started taking registrations again, but I could not update EE. Today i was able to update EE, and still can’t use ContactUs from plugin for my Constant Contact account. So, yes it’s fixed, but no, not everythingis working. At least people can register.

I paid for a new API key, I guess to enable ContactUs Plugin to work. But it looks like you just reset the old one. At this point, getting a new API would be what I need to get contact us working.

Any idea why Captcha wont work with EE?

Thanks for your help. look =forward to your thoughts.

When we reset the license key it’s the same key number, but it gets detached from what ever domain it’s attached to. The contact us plugin issue that you are having isn’t related the support license key. The support license key only affects the 1-click update functionality on your site.

It turns out that Event Espresso has a re-captcha feature. There’s some documentation of its settings here:
