Is there a way to put a Download to PDF button on the top of the HTML ticket page like the Invoice and Receipts have ?

Hi there,

Not currently, EE uses DOMPDF to generate the PDFs and uses a JS library to generate the barcodes within the browser, the two are incompatible so currently the user would need to use the browsers print function to print the tickets.

If I were to just use the QR Code would that make any difference ?

Hello,

The QR code is for check-in for an event and guests automatically receive their tickets through the ticket notice email.

Are your guests not receiving those emails?

Lorenzo my friend did you read the thread and the orginial question ? lol doesn’t appear so 🙂

I asked “Is there a way to put a Download to PDF button on the top of the HTML ticket page like the Invoice and Receipts have ?”

Tony replied “Hi there,

I asked “Thanks Tony !

tony explained you use DOMPDF to generate the PDF which won’t work cause you use the js library to generate the barcodes (he didn’t mention qr codes) which lead me to ask my question.

I am not sure where you answer came from or question but Yes they are getting the email notice. yes it has a qr code on it and yes it can be used to checkin via the app. but that wasn’t any of my questions hehe

QR codes are Barcodes, they are just another type of barcode and use the same library to generate as ‘normal’ barcodes.

To add a PDF button similar to the Invoices so that EE can generate the PDF’s is a a fair bit more involved than just adding a button and passing the current view, it can be done (currently with no support for barcodes) but is not supported at this time 🙂
