PayPal Pro Sandbox Testing without SSL

Is it possible to test PayPal Pro without an SSL?

Yes. When you test the sandbox it’s using fake (not real) credit card numbers, so there isn’t any need to secure it.

Ok. Any idea why I keep receiving this error message?

Attention: Your transaction was declined for the following reason(s):
Error Code: 10752
Short Message: Transaction cannot be processed.
Short Message: Please use a different payment card.
Severity Code: Error

I am using this information for testing
Test Master Card # 5424180818927383
Exp: 10/2012 (I am using 01/2014)
CVV2: 123

Are you using Sandbox account API credentials in Event Espresso>Payment settings, with the Sandbox option checked?
