Paypal options aren't showing up in backend of WordPress

Hi there, we have just got a new website and have gone to setup the PayPal options we were using fine on the old site and the tabs don’t appear to be showing up in the Payment Methods section of Event Espresso.

All I can see are Payflow Pro, Stripe and Invoice.

We had several more on the old site and all of the same plugins have been installed again for the new website.

From reading I was led to believe that PayPal, PayPal Express and PayPal Pro were all in the core anyway.

Any idea why these options aren’t appearing to select? http://www.theukweddingevent.co.uk

Hi there,

It sounds like the capabilities to view the payment methods were not added to your account.

Can you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data -> Reset Event Espresso Capabilities

(Make sure you click the button to reset capabilities, the others will remove EE4 data from your site)

Click that button and re-check the payment methods section, do the payment methods then show?

Hi Tony, yes that worked a treat thanks.

I’m just going through everything getting it set up correctly again including the message templates.

On an unrelated question, when I run the preview for Event Espresso – Editing Html Receipt Template (Purchaser Recipient), I am getting this error now.

Again it isn’t there on the previous site: –

Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘EventEspresso\core\exceptions\EntityNotFoundException’ with message ‘The requested entity with Transaction ID=”999999″ was not found.’ in /var/www/vhosts/theukweddingevent.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_classes/EE_Registration.class.php:1675 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/vhosts/theukweddingevent.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/eea-wait-lists-pr/domain/services/modules/EED_Wait_Lists.module.php(599): EE_Registration->transaction() #1 [internal function]: EED_Wait_Lists::wait_list_checkout_url_query_args(Array, Object(EE_Registration)) #2 /var/www/vhosts/theukweddingevent.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): call_user_func_array(Array, Array) #3 /var/www/vhosts/theukweddingevent.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-includes/plugin.php(203): WP_Hook->apply_filters(Array, Array) #4 /var/www/vhosts/theukweddingevent.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_classes/EE_Registration.class.php(940): apply_filters(‘FHEE__EE_Regist…’, Array, Objec in /var/www/vhosts/theukweddingevent.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_classes/EE_Registration.class.php on line 1675

Any ideas?

And just finally I have a few registered ticket holders in the old site for one of our events. Can I import their details into the new one.

Hi again, just done a bit of further exploring into that error message and it is called by the shortcode – [EVENT_LIST]

Can you try that again with the Wait List add-on beta deactivated?

Yes you are right, the error message only appears when the Wait List add-on is activated.

Thanks for confirming. I added an issue report for the wait list add-on regarding the error you uncovered.
