Hi Folks,
We keep getting errors when trying to use PayPal Commerce in sandbox mode.
The front end reads ‘Expected an order id to be passed’ and log errors also include ‘Unexpected response. Unable to find the order’ and ‘Request is not well-formed, syntactically incorrect, or violates schema’.

Hi there,
If you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System information.
Search that page for ‘precision’ and ‘serialize precision’, what values are set for both, please?

precision:
access 7
global value 14
local value 14
serialize precision:
access 7
global value 100
local value 100

Ok, so I’ve seen this before and the value for serialize precision is the issue.
Some hosts have an option within your control panel to set PHP settings and if so they’ll usually have an option to set the above.
I recommend setting it to be -1.
If you don’t have an option within your control panel I would create a ticket with your host to have them set this for you.
