Hi there,

Can you please post a link to an event where we can do a test registration? If so we can take a look.

The first thing I can recommend is move things so the event list and event calendar are on its own page separate from the signup page.

Right now training-schedule has [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] and [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on it. It would be best to set up another page and place [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on it. Then you’ll change the page with the calendar to have [EVENT_LIST] instead of [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]. Finally you go in to Event Espresso>General settings and point the Main registration page setting to your new page that has [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on it.

and also, when i have finalised registration, it goes to sorry this page does not exist, broken link.

You’ll need to make sure that the page set as the Thank You page is published. If you go to Event Espresso>System status it will have a link to show which page is set to be the Thank you page.

With the Payment page issue, I’m looking and I don’t see the payment page scripts getting loaded up. Normally there is a payment page script that loads up and hides all the payment information below each button, but in this case it’s not there because you have a really old version of Event Espresso installed. If you update to the latest version you’ll have a nicer looking Payment Page.

Thanks John

If i update to the latest version you’ll have a nicer looking Payment Page – but will this delete / over write my current event espresso and events i’ve got in there?

Kind regards
Rosie

Hi Rosie,

You shouldn’t have any issues as your version uses a similar database structure to the current version.

However we always recommend doing a full back up of the files/database before updating Event Espresso.

Updating Event Espresso will remove the old version, so if you have any modified files in the plugin you may wish to make a copy of them before updating.

Hi,

The current version you have installed does not have the automatic update feature.

We have guides posted for both backing up your site:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/

and also manually updating Event Espresso:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/

After you install the latest version you should then be able to use the automatic update feature.
