Payment method is always showing "Invoice"

Hi,

We have noticed that despite using Paypal Express, when users receive emails, it always shows “Payment Method: Invoice” in the email they receive.

This is the message template:
Payment Status: [PAYMENT_STATUS]
Transaction ID: [TXN_ID]
Total Cost: [TOTAL_COST]
Payment Amount: [AMOUNT_PAID]
Payment Method: [PAYMENT_GATEWAY]

it gets translated into this:

Payment Status: Complete
Transaction ID: 1163
Total Cost: £40.00 (GBP)
Payment Amount: £40.00 (GBP)
Payment Method: Invoice

Any ideas?

I am having exactly the same issue!
Any help would be appreciated.
I have activated and deactivated the invoice payment type and most others, to see if it would reset it, but nothing I have done so far has made any difference.

Hi there,

I can reproduce this on a test site and have created a ticket for our developers to investigate further.

For the time being I recommend removing the above shortcode from the message to prevent confusion.

Update:

Event Espresso 4.9.35.p was released today and it includes a fix for the issue reported in this topic.
