Is there a way to make the dollar surcharge for tickets optional?
I have 3 main tickets and would like to add 5 optional packages to each ticket. Each package would add an additional amount per selected item.

Hi Terry,

How are you today?

I’m not sure I understand what you’re going for. Can you explain further?

The Surcharges/Discounts Price Modifiers are a per-ticket deal unless you use Ticket Bundles: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-ticket-bundle/

I would like to use the calendar for a Scuba diving shop. We would like customers to register for class through the calendar. For our beginning class customers need to pay for course tuition, learning materials (2-options), and personal gear (3- Mask, Fin, & Snorkel packages; 2- Boot and glove packages).

I have the tickets set up as: Course tuition, Course tuition + Crew Pak, & Course tuition + e-learning.

Instead of making individual tickets for each option, is there a way to add optional additional charges to the 3 tickets i have set up?

———————————-
How I would like it :
Course tuition
Optional Additions
-M/F/S
– PKG. #1
– PKG. #2
– PKG. #3
-B/G
– PKG. #1
– PKG. #2

Course tuition + Crew Pak
Optional Additions
-M/F/S
– PKG. #1
– PKG. #2
– PKG. #3
-B/G
– PKG. #1
– PKG. #2

Course tuition + eLearning
Optional Additions
-M/F/S
– PKG. #1
– PKG. #2
– PKG. #3
-B/G
– PKG. #1
– PKG. #2

Hi Terry, you would need extra ticket (pricing) options to collect funds for the optional additions. However, that would result in a long ticket selector.

One way to handle this would be to split this across three events. You could create the first event and then save. Then duplicate that event and update the title and pricing and save. Then repeat the process one more time.

Thank you. I don’t think I will do that. I have 6 different locations each with their own full class schedules.

Another way to add options like this is set up an “event” that’s solely used for offering the dive gear. Then you install Multi Event Registration so that dive gear can be added to the cart.
