Hi folks
If I create an online event, what’s the best process for sending specific connection information to registrants? i.e. an access code or individual URL?

Cheers, Glen

Hi Glen,

I’m not sure I understand the question, do you already have registrants on an event that you wish to send a message to?

You can’t send an ‘access code’ for an event (unless you set the event to be password protected but it’s the same password for all) but you can link people directly to an event.

Do you have a list of registrants somewhere that you want to send this to? MailChimp for example?

Hi Tony
Sorry for the confusion and me not being clear.

So if I create an event that is to be hosted online, there are two parts to getting into our online event room – one is the url of the room and the other is a PIN code.

I think (upon thinking more about it) what I need to do is have the URL and the PIN in the confirmation message that gets emailed to the registrant. Does that sound like a good workflow?

Cheers, Glen

Yes that’s the usual process.
