I am once again having problems with offerings being categorized as Sold Out when just the first (of 8) registrations is processed. My system is fully updated, and the advice I received in February on this support post (https://eventespresso.com/topic/offerings-closed-as-sold-out-with-registrations-still-available/#post-235016) isn’t helping. I was advised to click the button in Maintenance > Reset page: Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Counts, but I can’t FIND the Maintenance page! Please advise. I have several more offerings to set up but want to sort this Sold Out problem. Thank you.

Hi there,

The maintenance page is within the main menu – http://take.ms/pMgbh

Then within the Reset/Delete tab – http://take.ms/RP7fV

Be sure to double check you are clicking the correct button, there are functions to completely remove all EE data on that page.

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the Reset Page, clicked Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Counts but received the message that they “were correct and did not need resetting”. But, I may have figured it out, I went into each ticket under Advanced Settings, adding Min 1 Max 1. This appears to have reopened the available seats for registration. I’m going to leave this ticket open until I have the next reservation come through, just to be sure it does not shut down the offering. Stay tuned and thanks!

You can also check with the host or if applicable, the developer of the website and ask them to check to see if the wp_cron() function is activated. Normally wp_cron() is activated, but it’s possible to deactivate it. If it’s deactivated then when Event Espresso tries to schedule the task to free up reserved ticket counts (after a registration is abandoned), then the task will not get scheduled.

It appears to have solved the problem (for now) by editing each ticket under Advanced Settings, adding Min 1 Max 1. Hopefully this will keep the offerings open until they are actually full.
