Notifications for Registrations not working + larger issue?

Hello,
We are having inconsistent notification messages in EE4 for registrations.
Several entries worked fine for receiving messages by both registrant and admin, but a number of registrations in the last 24 hours did not receive notification, nor did we receive admin notification when they registered. This clued us into perhaps larger issues, because the other Strage thing is that none of the registrations have been assigned a Reg Code either that are demonstrating the notification problem.

Website: flherbconf.wpengine.com
Under General Registration, the issue is with entries 33+.

The user is reporting she is getting a Failed notice, which would make sense why the registration notifications aren’t working, but, what we can’t understand is why her registration process fails.

Thanks for your help.

Update:

My developer is out of town, so forgive me for being a novice. There may be a setting somewhere that is affecting this, I just haven’t been able to find it yet in the documentation. Here is more to report after several other tests.

The failure status occurs because Event Espresso is not consistently assigning Registration codes. Here is what we noticed.
– If a user is signed into an Admin account, Registration code is assigned whether user selects invoice/payment pending option OR if a user signed into Admin pays by paypal
– If a user is not signed into an Admin account, Registration code is ONLY assigned when user pays on the spot, and if selecting invoice, Registration code is not assigned and status is marked as failed. User and admin do not receive notifications by email, though user data is still stored in database.

This was cross checked across several Macbook users and in safari and firefox. Thanks for your help and apologies if I am missing something obvious.

Hi Emily,

Is there an event that I could try testing a registration on? If so, can you let us know which one? This will help us to investigate.

Hi Emily,

Could you check with WP Engine to see if no-cache rules are setup for Event Espresso pages?

We currently with wpengine have caching to be turned off for our Events pages:
http://www.floridaherbalconference.org/registration-checkout/?ee=_register
http://www.floridaherbalconference.org/events/

But wonder if maybe that we need to exclude all pages under “/events/”, such as:
http://flherbconf.wpengine.com/events/ceu-registration/
http://flherbconf.wpengine.com/events/studentsenior-registration/
http://flherbconf.wpengine.com/events/youth-registration/
http://flherbconf.wpengine.com/events/extras/

WP Engine is testing for us, as their initial changes did not solve the registration issue. I will repost when we hear more from them. Thanks Lorenzo and Josh!

Hi Emily,

I’d recommend they add these to the list as well:

http://flherbconf.wpengine.com/thank-you/

and

http://flherbconf.wpengine.com/transactions/

Hi Emily,

Are we OK to mark this as resolved now?
