Nothing in your Event Queue Problem

IN Safari and IE users are unable to checkout in EE4 (which we recently upgraded to).

It works in chrome but in the other browsers after selecting an event and a quantity you get the following message when you start to checkout:

Nothing in your Event Queue

You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.

See it here:

Hi Stewart,

I am unable to open the above link in https while on Safari, which may be an issue with the SSL certificate.

When I go to:

http://partnersinlawenforcement.com/attend-an-event/

in Safari, the ticket selector seems to work fine when I try it out. I recorded a little screen video showing a ticket being selected and going to the next registration step in Safari:

The SSL is not the issue. I have disabled it entirely and the issue of not being able to access the payment screen (meaning having my selections carry over to checkout) on IE and Safari persists.

How did you disable it entirely? Did you start with a blank .htaccess file or something?

Ian,

Were you recently using a caching plugin/service or are you using a webhost that does caching automatically such as WP Engine?

Hi Lorenzo,

Yes we use WP Engine as our host.

Do we need to do something?

Ian

Hi Ian, I do as well for personal projects. You’ll want to ask WP Engine to setup no-cache rules for your Event Espresso pages.

This page explains the issue a bit:

http://wpengine.com/support/wpengine-ecommerce/

The critical pages should not be cached. On a default install the Critical pages would be:

/events/
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/
