How do I get the registration details to go to the alternate email address? I am using EE4 and I am not quite understanding why this isn’t working. Please help. I am trying to get my registration form live today.

Hello,

Could you let us know how you made this change?

Was this through the messenger templates?

All I did was add to the event in the custom fields boxes below the description the custom field for alt_email was already pulled up and in the values box I entered in the email address that I wanted those forms to go to.

Hi Candi,

Maybe you can help us the other issue that you sent in the redeem a support token form in about too. Can you explain what you are seeing where it looks like the ticket quantity on the forms are not working right? If you can give us a few details to work with we can look into this.

Yes the link is below to the registration form that I have in test mode.

I need to be able to ask for additional people but I don’t need all the information from every additional person. Especially on the kids ages6-20. I just need a number so that the form can charge for that quantity.

Hi Candi,

Normally (at least at this point) individual ticket cannot have their own uniquely assigned questions. Can you let us know if anything has been modified to make it so only one question is displaying for the additional ticket types?

Here’s what I can suggest: Put all the questions in for the main registration and do not require any questions for the additional attendees. If you’d like someone from support staff to go in and make these suggested changes please let us know.

  • This reply was modified 10 years ago by  Josh. Reason: clarification on the questions per ticket limitation

Why does the registration confirmation form show all the registrants with just one name? How do i get it to show the names or the data that was in-puted in the fields.

Candi Stroh

May 20, 2014 at 11:11 am

Yes please do go in and make those suggested changes as I have confused myself to the point of no return.

Hi Candi,

I don’t know, it normally does not do this. Can you let us know what parts of Event Espresso’s code has been modified?

Hi Candi,

I can get started working on straightening out the registration forms.

With the alt_email issue that you’re reporting, it is likely due to Event Espresso doesn’t recognize alt_email as a custom field. Right now the email notifications are set to go to the event author email. You can change this to [CO_EMAIL] in the message template settings and it will send to the primary contact email entered in Event Espresso > General Settings.

The only pages that I modified were single_page_checkout.css and registration_page_attendee_information.template.php. But i have already switched them back to your original versions, b/c i confused myself on so much stuff.

Hi Candi,

I’ve made a few adjustments to the reg form so all the form fields are displayed in one registration for. Please review and let us know if you have any questions.

How do I get the email to go to another admin person besides me? I know what you said earlier, but if I change the email address under organization details, that person will get other emails that are not for the event?

Ok just went through the form, one problem. If i have two people register as members and then they bring their spouses, where do they put in the spouse names? Should I just add more fields to the primary registrant?

Yes, you could add extra optional fields so they can place additional names there. It may help to label them as Spouse or Guest #1 and Spouse or Guest #2.

So what about the admin email problem??

Yes but that doesnt help. I need the form to go to two seperate email addresses.

In that case, what you can do is place two shortcodes separated by a comma in the To: field of the message editor. One possible combination would be:

[EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL], [CO_EMAIL]

here’s a screenshot of the messages editor that shows the To: field. This will work as long as your mailserver allows comma separated values in the To: field. Usually it’s the From field that will cause issues if there is more than one email address in there, so it would be best to leave the from field with one address.

Ok when i test the registration form on Internet Explorer i get the following error message:

An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
SNGPGCHC-DSNGPGCHC-PROATTINF-1251

What does this mean now?

Hi Candi,

This may be WP Super Cache plugin caching the registration page. What you can do to fix this is add the Event Espresso pages to the list of do not cache these pages list (found in the WP Super Cache plugin’s advanced option).

Candi Stroh

May 20, 2014 at 3:31 pm

I have already done that Josh. I have actually deactivated the plugin. CHrome is showing the error message as well as internet explorer. I’m so sorry to be such a problem, but I am really desperate to get this going.

Please let us know what’s been changed on the site since earlier this afternoon when this was working. Also, if there’s another event available to test please post a link here. (the one you linked to before says it’s not found)

Candi Stroh

May 20, 2014 at 3:53 pm

The Link should work now.
I redid everything. I uninstalled all the Event Espresso files and reset everything. Cleared out the database and started over. I know that seems extreme but I didn’t know what else to do.

Candi Stroh

OMG I really screwed it all up now.

Site License Key isn’t activated.

You can add the site license key in at any time later to activate it. I checked the list of do not cache pages and noticed that event-registration wasn’t in the list. I added it so the list now looks like this.

Can you try testing the registration again?

Candi Stroh

May 20, 2014 at 4:15 pm

Firefox – OK
CHrome – OK
Internet Explorer – ERROR Message
An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
SNGPGCHC-DSNGPGCHC-PROATTINF-1251

Candi Stroh

May 20, 2014 at 4:20 pm

CRAP – CHROME is doing the error message now.

Candi Stroh

May 20, 2014 at 4:43 pm

Figured out which files i have tampered with, I reloaded them and now CHROME works and Internet Explorer Works.
ticket_selector.css
registration_page_attendee_information.template.php
single_page_checkout.css
ticket_selector_chart.template.php

Hi Candi,

I checked and it looks like your server is running nginx, not apache. This means that in order to run the WP super cache plugin it will involve some advanced configuration. You may want to contact your host to see if they already have caching in place and if they don’t, whether they can help you set up WP super cache correctly. This is one example of instructions on how to configure WP Super Cache for nginx:

https://rtcamp.com/wordpress-nginx/tutorials/single-site/wp-super-cache/

For now, I’ve disabled caching on your site. WP Super cache (the plugin) is still activated, but caching has been turned off from its settings page.

The other thing that was out of order was the calendar add-on. In order to use the calendar for Event Espresso 4, the newer version of the Calendar add-on ( version 3 or higher) can be activated.

Hey Josh can you please look at my site one last time. I have this error code coming up in my registrations overview tab.
Fatal error: Call to a member function count_related() on a non-object in /home/hbaaorg/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/admin_pages/registrations/EE_Registrations_List_Table.class.php on line 221

Can you please help!

Hello,

I could not find any other reports of that error. Did you reverse all of your edits to the core plugin?

Its on the admin side of Event Espresso. on the Registrations under Events. Scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see the error. Do you need my login info?
