We have recently changed the email address in the general options as well as the paypal. Since we did that we are not getting the confirmation emails from event espresso. We are running EE 3.1.36.6.P. We only know that we are getting bookings because we are getting paypal payment emails. The registrations are also being made in the system. Just not getting the confirmation emails. I have looked through the past forums, but not seeing anything that helps. Thank you.
Hi, Event Espresso does not restrict the emails that can be used for notifications. It also does not send the emails directly.
It uses a native WordPress function called wp_mail which then uses the local mail server to send out those email notifications.
Could you double-check the spam or junk mail folders to see if anything is arriving there?
Also, are regular WordPress notifications such as new user registrations or password resets being received?
If those regular WP notifications are not working, then the local mail server may have some restrictions. As a workaround, try setting up a transaction email service like Mandrill or Postmark app:
Both services offer a general free tier and can help with sporadic email issues.
