Not all question groups showing when multiple events selected

For our event, I have set up each pass type as its own event (platinum, gold, etc). Some of the pass types have unique question groups attached to them. The issue is when two different pass types are selected (not too often since most registrants will be selecting only one event). However, a new event has recently been added that may be selected with one of the other events. When two different events are selected, only the question group from one of the events is presented. The second event in the listing has none of its assigned questions appearing.

I found time to dig into the forums and found the same issue had been posted last year at https://eventespresso.com/topic/only-custom-questions-of-first-added-event-to-cart-are-shown/

Still now resolution?

Hi there,

I checked on the ticket linked to this and no, there has been no resolution as of yet.

One of the reasons is due to the way in which the registration forms are constructed which will need to be refactored to take the additional question groups into account, but as the forms integrate into the Single Page Checkout heavily this is not easily done.

One way you could work around the limitation with the way the question groups work now is check the box next to the question group under “Questions for Additional Registrants”. What that will do is ensure that the second event in the cart has its assigned questions included on the registration page.
