no results… (99)

I have first installed the free lite version v3.1.30.7L, and configured it with a few events etc.
Now that I need more features, I have purchased v3.1.30.7P.
When installing it, I exepected to automatically update the Lite to a Premium version, but I get a fatal error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /kunden/70339_2340/webseiten/solusio.com/showcase3/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-free/espresso.php:35) in /kunden/70339_2340/webseiten/solusio.com/showcase3/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php on line 36

Can anybody tell me if a proper update is possible?
Or do I really have to uninstall the Lite version before, loosing all the event details entered so far?

You will not lose your data when removing the lite version. You can safely update to the paid version.

Thanks! First I had to deactivate the Lite version, then I could activate the Premium version, no data got lost, great!
Can I go ahead and uninstall the Lite-version now?
