Are regular WordPress emails such as new user notifications and password resets being received?
We generally recommend that members who run into email issues setup a transactional email service like Mandrill or Postmark App. These services take over sending emails from the native wp_mail() function and helps keep emails out of the spam/junk email folder:
Hi Ariela, that may work now but in the long run, it would be better to use a transactional email service like Postmark app or Mandrill.
WP SMTP works by using an existing email account (e.g. Gmail). However, if you start to send out many emails due to many registrations, then they may be flagged as SPAM or Junk mail.
I would try Mandrill as they have a generous free tier at 12,000 emails per month.
