Hi,

We have changed our e-mail address in Event Espresso > General Settings > Primary Contact Email but notifications are still sent to the old address. rRegistrants email receipts also show the old address.

Here’s some screenshots:

Settings: http://screencast.com/t/gequRxb6
Received notification: http://screencast.com/t/gxjQBO0S9RJ

We do not use a mailing service, site and browser caches are cleared, no modification to the EE outgoing email templates were made, WordPress email address is the same as entered in EE. The email address shows correctly in EE > Extras > Maintenance > System Information.

How can we fix this?

Thanks,
Syl

Hi Syl,

How are you today?

Visit the Event Espresso > Messages > Edit your Registration Approved message: http://www.screencast.com/t/voD96Q7Kt

You can set it to be sent from several email addresses. To avoid your messages being flagged as spam we recommend sending it from an email address that shares your domain name as your website. You’ll want to use the CO email addresses, probably [CO_EMAIL].

The FROM address was correct, just not the address mentioned in the registrant mail body and the notifications were sent to our old address. However, going through the templates I’ve found that the notifications are send to the Event Author. So. I have change the email address of the WP user who created the events and that solved the issue.

The message templates originally defaulted to use the EVENT_AUTHOR shortcodes but have since be changed to default to the CO_EMAIL shortcodes. However if your templates were set up using a version of EE that used the EVENT_AUTHOR shortcodes they will not change unless you ‘reset’ the templates (you will also lose any customization’s to the templates you have made if you do that)

You could also go through all of the templates and swap out the EVENT_AUTHOR shortcodes for CO_EMAIL, however if you are happy with the above there is little difference between them. It just means if you change the email again you’ll need to remember to change it on the user account as well.
