Need to upgrade EE on dev server

We have a copy of our site on a dev server and need to upgrade EE and associated plugins. However, those plugins are showing a warning:

“A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 4.8.39.p. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.” If we buy a support license, will be be able to upgrade the dev site? Our dev site is on another IP.

You can remove the key from the dev site (go to Event Espresso > General Settings and blank out the key field, then save)

Then you can deactivate and delete the version you have installed now on the dev site and download and install the new version. You can download the current version from your account page.
