I searched the forum and could not get advice on how to do this: I would like images in a calendar layout like this example. A monthly layout with thumbnails as seen here: https://www.sipsnstrokes.com/

EE version: 3.1.32, WordPress version:3.5.1

I’m new to EE (one week) so I will need a very simple explanation as if I were a two-year-old. I have EE personal  license and calendar all just downloaded.

I did see text that it could be done but no directions. Phil

Hi Phil,

To add the calendar do this:

Log into WordPress
On the left menu find Pages
Click Add New under the Pages menu
Add a title as per normal
Just above the main writing area on the right are two tabs Visual and Text, click Text
In the main writing area add [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]
Click the publish button.

If you want to change the calendar settings you can head to the Event Espresso menu Calendar Settings. The shortcode also takes attributes (another type of setting), you can see these here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#calendar

where is the code block.?

Which code block are you referring to please?

To enable an image in the calendar first go to the Calendar Settings page and enable Images in the calendar: http://www.screencast.com/t/L2j8p5XRiSf7

Then, go to the Event Editor (the event you are creating) and add the image. YOu’ll then see it appear on the calendar: http://www.screencast.com/t/8t6VmyH6M
