I was wondering if anyone here can help show me to migrate from EE3 version 3.1.35.2.P to EE4? The wiki says update EE3 first if the version is less than 3.1.36.6, but our license is showing is invalid so updating to the current version is not possible at this time. Or is it still possible to migrate even with the outdated version?
You were previously using an Event Espresso 3 business support license. The everything support license includes access to Event Espresso 4 only so that is why you can’t upgrade.
Are you currently using any features for your project like mobile apps for check-in or recurring events?
If so, then I recommend reaching out here (https://eventespresso.com/contact/) so we can update your support license so you have access to Event Espresso 3 and Event Espresso 4 via the Event Espresso 3 business support license.
If you are ready to migrate, then we do have a guide here that provides an overview of the migration process:
Thanks, but I went ahead and migrated according to the wiki. Everything went great, but there’s a new problem now.
When I did a test registration for one of our free events, on Chrome I got a spinning gear that went on and on (going on 10 minutes as of this moment) after I filled out the registration form and clicked “Proceed to Finalize Registration”. On Firefox I got the error “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again”.
We’re hosted on godaddy’s vps if that helps. Any ideas on what’s going on, and how to fix it?
