Hi. Please could you tell me if it is possible to add two different tickets for the same event with different prices? I need to have one priced at £45 and one at £43. Alternatively is there a way for them to add a discount code or somesuch? Thanks.

Hi there,

Yes you can add multiple tickets within a single event.

If you edit the event you should see something like this – http://take.ms/uaR9hV

You can add as many tickets to the event as you need, each with a different price.

The example above looks like this – http://take.ms/BMHz1

Is that what you are looking for?

Well yes, except that when I click ‘Create Ticket’ the page refreshes but nothing seems to have happened. There is no obvious place to add any details for the new ticket, only the existing details for the original one. I believe I sent you a login for our site, could you possibly take a peak? http://sassystirrers.com/wordpress/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_events&action=edit&post=1235&edit_nonce=c0eb233277

For security reasons we do not keep login details, so you’ll need to resend them using:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Most likely there is a JavaScript error being thrown on the page from another plugin.

Yeah there are JavaScript errors being thrown on the event editor which is preventing the ticket editor JavaScript from working – http://take.ms/lVcKZ

The same error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'WordCounter' of undefined

Is being thrown on standard posts/pages.

A search on that error only shows this:

https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/33454

Although that’s from WP4.3 and I don’t think it the cause here.

First try updating all of your plugins as WP4.5+ added jQuery 1.12 which is a little more strict than previous versions, this caused problems with many plugins/themes.

Once you have updated retest the ticket editor (you will need to load the page again before testing)

Does it then work?

Note: we advise creating a full site backup before updating plugins just to be safe.

Thanks Tony. Well, that appears to have made a difference. The new ticket seems to be generated, and looks to be promising. I’d need to have a play with this, and also keep an eye out for any plugin failures. I did take a back-up, so hopefully I’m covered for any disaster… Many thanks.
