I have two question groups (1. Primary registrant 2.Additional Registrant) along with the locked personal information. The personal information is added to the primary Registrant, but I use only the First and Last name for additional registrants.

After I fill out the registration and pay, the invoice is correct as it hold info for my name, and the additional registrants name. However when the confirmation email is sent it contains my name twice, as well as in the event registrants database. After the invoice it shows my name twice, and you can click edit registrant info, but when I click to edit the info, the prepopulated info is already correct with the additional registrant info. When I try to click submit, it still does not have the additional registrant name, but my name.

Click on Edit Info for additional registrant, The form is prepopulated with the correct info, even though it does not show up in database.:

I have multiple registrants until I get this fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am assuming it is some kind of bug.

Hi there,

I have two question groups (1. Primary registrant 2.Additional Registrant) along with the locked personal information. The personal information is added to the primary Registrant, but I use only the First and Last name for additional registrants.

How are you collecting on First and Last name for additional registrants? Are they custom questions?

If you don’t request the ‘Personal Information’ group for additional registrants then EE will use the Primary Registrants details for all registrations. So it sounds like you’re requesting Personal Info for the primary and then using custom questions for the additional registrants, if that’s the case this would be expected behavior.

Can you link me to the event so I can take a look?

well the link won’t help probably, as I put maximum registrants to 1 for now until I get this sorted out. But if you want to see you can look at the website anyways http://www.stoiaconsultants.com/

As you said, I don’t have personal information on the additional registrants. I am using a custom form of only the first and last name (and an optional unrelated field). The problem is, I only need the first and last name, I do not want the email address from additional registrants, and I cannot edit the personal information group.

Is it basically set up where if I want it to function that way, I need their email in the “personal information” system group? Because I am assuming that if they buy multiple, it is a company purchasing the “tickets” and is not necessarily going to have all of their emails on hand. Just sending the confirmation to the primary registrant, but in my database showing the names of all registrants.

Yes, for each registrant EE creates a ‘contact’ if the Personal Information question group is requested. If not then EE links all of the registrations to the Primary Registrants contact.

So in order for the registrations to show as individual registrants you need to select that group.

You could hide the Email question for all but the Primary registrant using CSS, then copy the value from the Primary Registrant email field to all the other email fields using some jQuery. So although your requesting personal info for each you only display First and Last name from the group.
